Ordered the small jerk chicken with rice and peas which included a pop/water. Solid jerk chicken and got the oxtail gravy over the rice which was delicious! This place was busy after 1pm and the parking lot is really small. We parked one block south of Lawrence on the street and walked over. Would recommend and come back.

Who needs ambiance? This food was some of the best takeout I’ve had in a while. It’s been a long-standing favourite of my fiancé’s since middle school. The jerk chicken, curry goat, and rice and peas were all excellent. Solid portion size for the price, and very craveable. We parked on a side street with no issues. They were out of pepper shrimp when we went - looking forward to returning to try some!

Simply the best when it comes on to Caribbean cuisine especially the jerk chicken 😋 taste just as good or even better when u think about Jamaican jerk back home. The staff there are super friendly and really gives that great customer service that’s expected, Debbie and Nathalie just to name a few that goes above and beyond to make sure your well taken care of. Thank you guys for bringing home flavor abroad ❤️

Nothing unique about the curry goat, it was pretty flavorless. The rice and peas was not good, really sticky and dry. For 10 people in line, it's about a 20 minute wait. The only pricing in there is for ox tail, but nothing else. Couldn't understand that. This place Is not for me. Lloyds across the street offers more flavour and better portions.

I love the food most of the time. It’s always consistent. I have to edit my post because the service has gotten bad and travel from peel to buy the food. Prices are good but the customer service has gone down. I was told I asked for rice and peas when I knew I asked for white rice. Sometimes I go to Jerk Box 3 times in a week and buy a minimum of 3 dinners each time. My daughter had a piece of a barcode in her rice. Pictures are below. The lady serving my food wore slippers, I noticed it when she walked to the back of the restaurant. I have only seen one employee wear a hair net every time I visit and she seems to be one of the nicest employees working there. The wait times at lunch can be extremely long with only one person serving at times.

Okay, first things first. If you are expecting service at an authentic Jamaican jerk spot, you clearly haven't been at an authentic jerk spot. That's not to say that there was no customer service here, the lady at the register was super sweet. It's a take away restaurant so the atmosphere, to me, is irrelevant. Now to the food. The jerk is outstanding. The chicken is well marinated. The rice and peas wasn't soggy or bland. I've tried jerk chicken of all sorts of restaurants ranging from home made to Montego Bay restaurants and I was very, very happy with this spot. The only negative is the parking is a circus. The price to portion ratio, amazing. The coleslaw, amazing. Jerk Spot deserves a higher rating IMO but the parking doesn't pass the vibe check. 4.8/5
